Discordservers.me is a server listing website whose traffic doubled since November 2019. Normally you'd think this is a very good thing, however, in some ways, it's not. I would like to explain my experiences with Discordservers.me, as someone who has ordered premium off their platform many many times. First I'd like to say that the website's interface is great. It has some neat features, and a good category and tag system. It also allows you to see a server's emotes, including embedded gifs, which is a big plus. However there are some very big issues to take note of.
I've uploaded many different types of servers to this website, and I used to see about 150-250 or so joins per month from it using its premium membership. However nowadays, this number has declined rapidly. This is particularly interesting to me given that the developer claims on the site that people will see an average growth of 597 members with premium, which I believe as a frequent buyer that this isn't even close to the truth for most types of servers. However this disingenuous statement is simply marketing rhetoric, and it's very important to conduct your own research into the effectiveness of a product instead of basing your judgment off of the seller's claims typically greatly exaggerated.
Anyways, as I stated, my growth has declined from this website. You may stop and think that this is strange if the site has gained traffic, but actually, there are two main issues facing this platform that severely restrict its effectiveness for me, and I will name both of these.
The first issue is competition. While the website receives far greater traffic now than it used to, this also means that far more people are adding their server to the site, which decreases your exposure remarkably by making exposure a much more competitive task than before. This is even more so the case when your server is at the front of the page. It will be knocked off within a couple of days just due to the amount of people who buy premium off their site.
The second issue is that the Discordservers.me bot has some problems. Some pretty big problems. The bot that this website runs off of seems to be very susceptible to error. Every time I ordered premium recently, I've noticed my server just completely jump off the front page randomly, or get intercepted by a server that ordered BEFORE I did. I've also noticed that when I try to search for my server in recent pages, I often can't find it anywhere, so there is certainly something very wrong with this bot and it's negatively affecting my growth.
My new community server has only gained 10 users from this website and it's been a week and a half. I used to love this site, and I keep giving it more chances, but lately I find myself very frequently disappointed. I have tested the website with many different types of servers, all typically very active and medium to large sized servers. It's just not what it used to be for me.
For the price however, it's not the worst. It also doesn't require manual bumping which is also a plus. My rating as it stands would be a 6/10 until I see improvements to the site. I don't know if it has the edge it used to over Discordsl.com anymore. If you have $15 to spare, should you consider this website? In my opinion, maybe. Discord.me gold is getting me many more members, however it requires manual bumping, while Discordservers.me doesn't.
